國慶大會登場，各主要政黨領袖，同時也是總統參選人到場觀禮，根據座位安排，蔡英文坐在國民黨主席朱立倫和親民黨主席宋楚瑜中間，後面則是立法院副院長洪秀柱，朱蔡兩人因為座位相鄰，頻頻交談、互動熱絡，至於宋楚瑜戴著墨鏡，神情略顯肅穆。

洪秀柱在朱立倫、蔡英文、宋楚瑜入座後進場，朱蔡宋都站起來相迎，洪秀柱逐一和他們握手，蔡英文除了握手，也拍了拍洪秀柱的手背。國民黨發生換柱風暴，朱洪兩人互動備受關注，朱立倫在洪秀柱就座前，跟洪秀柱咬耳朵，但兩人沒有多說什麼，就回到自己的座位，不過，朱立倫接著還轉頭，跟坐在蔡英文後面的洪秀柱講話。

會前被問到，會不會跟蔡英文打招呼，洪秀柱回應當然會，又不是仇人，看到國民黨主席朱立倫，也不會尷尬。
